How To Play Fantasy Football » Scoring

Your DimeSports Fantasy Football team accumulates points during each week (Thursday-Monday) in which a regular season NFL game is played. Points are determined by how your starting offensive players and defensive team do in the real games, based on the following statistics:

Scoring System
All points accumulated by the players in your starting lineup contribute to your team's point total regardless of the position those players actually play. Points scored by a player or defense/special team before being placed on your roster, as well as pre-season and playoff points, do not contribute to your team's point total. The season begins with Week 1; points will count toward prize awards starting with the game played on September 4, 2008.

Two point conversion points are awarded to the player scoring the conversion.

The final score of the game will determine the defensive points allowed, rather than the selected defense/special team. Yards from defense/special teams' returns do not count.

Defense/Special Teams Scoring:

Defensive Team Touchdowns count when they’re scored on a defensive team fumble recovery, an interception, a blocked punt, or a blocked kick. Special Teams Touchdowns count when they’re scored on a kick return or a punt return. Defensive/Special Teams Touchdowns are not counted with touchdowns scored on an offensive team fumble recovery, a faked extra point, or a faked field goal.

Standings are determined by calculating the points total for all teams in the Contest and in their respective leagues. The team with the highest point total will rank first in the standings; the team with the lowest point total finishes last.

Cancellations/Postponements:
If a game is postponed or canceled for any reason and is not played on or before the following Wednesday, players on the teams in the postponed/canceled game will earn no stats for that week.
